Meet Thomas
I grew up a latchkey kid of the eighties — parents split early, homelife unstable, circumstances switching with little warning. My little sister and I found our one constant in our grandmother and her love for Jesus. She shared that love, kept us in church, and pointed us toward the cross. One night at a missions meeting, I gave my anger, hurt, and bitterness to the Lord — and found forgiveness and peace for my young heart. It was a beginning. But the road was rough.
I answered what I believed was a call to preach, went to Bible College, and twice tried to lead. Twice it ended in hurt and what felt like failure. I walked away — done with church politics, done with people. By God's grace I had a peaceful home, a loving wife, kids, decent work, a small church — and told myself that was enough. But deep down, the maverick was on the road again. Going his own way. Watching his back. Trusting no one but himself. It's a lonely road that goes nowhere. Praise God He never lets us stay there.
Through faithful preaching and the work of the Holy Spirit, He brought my wandering heart home. Renewed a faith I thought was broken. Healed the hurt I'd hidden behind for years — and gave me a new song to sing. Every lyric on this record came out of that dust — written from real life, real failures, and the relentless grace of a God who meets outlaws at the cross. I'm not a performer. I'm a writer and a believer with something to say, and this music is for the road-weary and the redeemed.
