For pastors, churches & Biblical Counselors
This music is here to come alongside your ministry, reinforcing through the week what is preached on Sunday. Each song below is matched to a real struggle and rooted in Scripture.
A word from Thomas
I was a pastor once. Twice I tried to lead a church, and both times it ended over differences in direction. I left wounded and disillusioned, and I pulled away from ministry and from people. But God didn’t leave me there. He healed that hurt, and these songs grew out of it.
Writing about those years still opens old wounds. But my prayer is that God will use them for His glory, to comfort others the way He has comforted me: “that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God” (2 Corinthians 1:4).
That’s the purpose of all this.
Find the right song
Scripture-rooted songs for the struggles people bring to church, small groups, and Biblical Counseling. Press play to hear the full song here, or share it with the person who needs it.
Choose the need. Hear the song. Share the encouragement.
Put them to work
Play a song before or after a message on the same truth, or point the congregation to it for the week ahead.
Listen together, read the Scripture behind the song, and talk about where that truth meets everyday life.
Send a song to the person walking through that exact season. A song can stay with them long after a conversation ends.
Give a song as listening between sessions, so the Scripture you opened together stays in front of them all week. As biblical counselor Bijou Green writes for ACBC, “Give your counselees songs that are saying the same things about God that you are telling them in the counseling room.”
